Old Stuff

i was browsing through my old hard drive looking at some stuff i did a long time ago. most of it's poop, but i liked these two. personal nostalgia. both of these were done purely for fun. i tend to like stuff i do just randomly and improvised more then i like stuff i planned out meticulously.

this is a thing i did one weekend over two years ago. i still like it, thus it emerges from the depths of my old hard drive and finds its way here. i remember this weekend i was also doing an animation test for a show, but i have the attention span of me, so i kept fiddling around. and ended up having this thing i was far more proud of then my test.

if you know me, you know i make paper cranes all the time like a crazy person. i did this with tinfoil paper when i was 18 six years ago. i used tape to hold the thing down so it wouldn't slide around while i was folding. i suppose this could be used as a tutorial to make your own crane. i was super into stop motion when i was younger. not counting mario paint, my first finished animated shorts were stop motions of my action figures from when i was a tween.

Dragonball Zoo 2: Sparkling Wonder Blast Unite

sordfins
i went to vegas, and drew some shit. after losing 60 bucks in roulette at the mirage, i decided to spend even more money to get into their zoo thing. they had my favorite animal, dolphins.

things that like to eat stoners
also at the mirage, jungle cats. the mandalay bay had an aquarium, and i drew their sharks. the lady there told me how to tell which ones were dudes. all of these are dudes. ALSO, the golden nugget had a water slide that went through a fucking shark tank. i did it 28 times.

birds and shit
also when to the la zoo, drew some flamingos, a turtle who was too stupid to notice he was standing in water, and a parrot and a drowsee. i also drew seagulls while surfing in santa monica.

elephants
and elephants. the new exhibit at the la zoo, which looks like jurassic park.

life on earth

“There are many family resemblances among the organisms of the earth. Some are very apparent, such as the use of the number five. Humans have five major bodily projections; one head, two arms, two legs. So do ducks. “ Carl Sagan

dragonball zoo

i just got a brand new car (from 1993), so for the past few weeks ive been going to the LA Zoo on sundays to draw the aminals. these are my favorite results of said trips.

monkeys / apes / pretty much the same thing
the big orangoutang on the top left is trying to jam a stick into a water bottle.

things they fight at the circus
the floating poop at the upper left is actually a hippo. scientists say that hippos are actually evolved from floating poop.

things with four legs but never use them
the actual rhino has no horn. but if youll notice, he looks far happier when i draw one anyway. the zebra in the bottom left isnt dead, it was scratching its back by twisting around in the dirt.

things that are practically dinosaurs
that weird dinosaur bird thing's name is really long. i looked at the sign, and immediately knew i wouldnt even attempt to pronounce it in my head. then, a four year old girl walked past me, and said it correctly on her first try. even after hearing her say it, i still couldnt do it.

things that are adorable
yes, that monkey is giving the other one a blow job. yes, they hugged after. no, he never called. yes, it was damaging to the children present.

brendan fraser

heres some drawings i dooed of brendan fraser, star of hit films like the mummy, the mummy 2, and monkeybone. these 20 failed attempts at drawing his very plain face are only the beginning. also, he was in GI Joe, but there's not much point mentioning that one.

secondary motions

heres a walk cycle i did of Loop walking with his blood drenched axe and a severed unicorn head tied to a long stick. this thing has ridiculous amounts secondary motion going down. I'd count the unicorn head as thirdary motion, which is a real word i invented as i typed it.
